Before then, the team at Church House, London, need some help from parishes to ensure their records are up to date!
The team are asking that all those who have not logged into their existing ACNY account in the last year to do so in the coming weeks. This is also a good time to check your church's details and service times are accurate.
Any accounts that have not been logged into in the last 12 months (ending October 2017) will not be transferred to the new site.
If you are no longer a church editor, please ask your successor to:
1. Go to the church page and click the 'update this church' link on the right
3. Click the 'request transfer' button.
A Church Near You wouldn’t work without the dedication of administrators updating their church’s profile. The team at Church House who are updating the website are therefore delighted to let you know just how much this pays off.
Last year, the site received more than 12 million page views – this means more people than ever are looking for churches in their local area
Some churches, such as St Martin’s, Ruislip, received 15,000 hits last year and All Saints, Reading, received nearly 8,000 hits. That is thousands of people reading about your service times, facilities and contact information.
The aims for the website redesign are simple:
From the Autumn, it will also be possible for churches to have up to five editors. This will mean it's even easier for churches to stay up to date.
If you’re already looking ahead to Christmas, then there is some good news for you. Any services you add before October will be transferred to the new site, so don’t wait – add yours today.
