An Introduction to the Organ

Venue: Wesley Methodist Church, Christ's Pieces, CB1 1LG
Led by Nigel Kerry, who is an organ tutor in Cambridge, the afternoon is intended for those who want to learn more about playing the organ and what is involved.

Nigel Kerry will talk about the organ and how the average keyboard player can get the best out of the instrument. There will be an opportunity for participants to bring their own pieces to play on the large 3 manual organ in Wesley Church, if they so wish, under Nigel's instruction.

The organ has a mobile console at floor level which will be visible to the audience. Advice can be given on tuition and questions about the organ answered. There will be displays showing how an organ works.The afternoon is intended for over 18s and adults. Refreshments will be available.

The afternoon will close at 5 pm. The event is being organised by Cambridge Organists' Association.

Cost and booking:
