Royal British Legion Riders Branch Service of Remembrance

Sunday 23 July 2017

A Ride-Out Service of Remembrance will be held at 11 am on Sunday 23rd July 2017 in Ely Cemetery to honour Private J T Cook (1st Battalion, The Cambridge Regiment) who died on 21st July 1917 and is buried in Ely Cemetery. The service will be led by Canon David Pritchard.

Wanting to do something that would remember those who gave their lives during WW1 the Royal British Legion Riders Branch decided they would travel to the gravesite/memorial of each of the Cambridgeshire Regiment soldiers as close to the 100th anniversary of their death as possible. They started the project in August 2014 and will complete it in July 2021.
