Worship and liturgy
Worship lies at the heart of the Christian life
It is in worship that we express our theology and define our identity. When we encounter God during worship we are formed (and transformed) as his people.
One of the glories of the Church of England is its liturgical worship.
Liturgy refers to the patterns, forms, words and actions through which public worship is conducted.
The Liturgical Commission prepares forms of service and promotes the development and understanding of liturgy and its use in the Church.
The Church of England provides resources for prayers and for worship:
Daily prayer resources (including details of how to download the prayer app)
For those preparing services, a useful tool is the Worship Planner
