Situated in the South of Wisbech Lynn Marshland Deanery in the Diocese of Ely, the newly formed Orchard-Welle benefice comprises a group of five parishes serving a population of around fifteen thousand people in a mixture of large & small Fenland villages. The area is semi-rural, with open fields and big skies and is criss-crossed by the waterways which characterise the Fens.


Rural Dean, Fincham and Feltwell Deanery, Diocese of Ely

The Diocese of Ely seeks a Rural Dean (House for Duty), for the Fincham and Feltwell Deanery, Norfolk. The Deanery of Fincham & Feltwell covers those parts of West Norfolk that sit within the Diocese of Ely (Ely is only 20 mins drive away). The Deanery contains the market town of Downham Market (pop. 9000) with 30 parishes/villages surrounding it. The total population is 38,000 and roughly 380 of these are on our electoral rolls.
