Details of three webinars on Martyn's law, hosted by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, and the Home Office.
Register your interest in attending a webinar focusing on the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, otherwise known as Martyn’s Law, and will be tailored specifically to places of worship. Martyn's Law will apply to any premises where over 200 individuals may be present (with a standard tier premises being 200-799 individuals and an enhanced tier premises being 800+ individuals).

This webinar will consist of a short presentation delivered by the Home Office (the lead government department for Martyn’s Law) followed by a Q&A session. This webinar is aimed at anyone connected to a place of worship, who wishes to learn more about Martyn’s Law.

Martyn’s Law – A practical walk through the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025
The Church of England and Community Security Trust (CST) welcome you to a webinar on Martyn’s Law, with an emphasis on Standard Duty Premises. Martyn’s Law requires premises to be prepared for attacks, ready to respond, able to mitigate impact and reduce physical harm. Larger premises and events must also take steps to reduce vulnerability to attacks. It establishes who is responsible for considering risk and how to prepare.
We discuss what you will need to do in order to comply with Martyn's Law – looking at which premises/events are ‘in-scope’ and the requirements for Standard and Enhanced Duty Premises, and for Qualifying Events. We also look at the regulator’s responsibilities and enforcement. Finally, we discuss some practical examples and suggestions. (Minimum age of 18 for joining talks and webinars)
