On Saturday 7 July, we will gather at Ely Cathedral to celebrate this year’s Ordinations and to support those responding to God’s call to ministry within the Diocese of Ely.
Ordination is a significant moment in the life of the Church and in the lives of those being ordained. It marks the beginning of a new chapter of ministry, service and leadership, supported by communities across our diocese.
We warmly invite you to join us in prayer for our ordinands, their families, friends, training incumbents and the parishes that have nurtured them in their vocation.

All are welcome to attend these ordination services, and support those taking this next step in their ministry.
As we use the 2026 Ember Prayer Booklet to help focus our prayers, we also pray for those individuals sent from Ely Diocese to train for ordination in other Dioceses, being ordained Deacon over these coming weeks:
