The Diocese of Ely was delighted today (21 August 2019) to welcome William Nye, Secretary General, General Synod, to hear more about the Diocese’s Strategy for Growth, People Fully Alive: Ely 2025 and our Changing Market Towns project.

Speaking of his visit, William Nye said: “It’s great to be here in Ely. I’ve come here today to learn about the project for Changing Market Towns, which have been [jointly] funded by the Strategic Development Fund.

It’s always fascinating to visit dioceses and learn about what they’re doing and I know that the Diocese of Ely is doing some really inspirational and innovative things in reaching out to try to grow the church and bring more people to faith in the market towns of Fenland and throughout Cambridgeshire”.

The team also marked the last day in the office of colleague and friend Gina, whose last day with the team is today before she leaves for other challenges. All the best Gina, you shall be missed!
