16 DAYS of Activism & MU RISE UP Campaign

On Saturday 29 November, MU Members from Ely Diocese will be gathering at Ely Cathedral in support of this year’s campaign. Silent Vigil in St Catherine’s Chapel from 12.15-12.45pm, followed by a Banner Witness outside the west door at 1.03pm. Raising awareness of the fact that 1 in 3 women worldwide have been subjected to violence or abuse. The United Nations 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is an international campaign. It takes place from 25 November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) until 10 December (International Human Rights Day). MU works alongside communities to help end domestic abuse and gender-based violence and to support those affected by it 365 days of the year.
