Briefing on the new Places of Worship Renewal Fund postponed
A talk on the new Places of Worship Renewal Fund by Deborah Williams of Historic England which was scheduled for Wednesday 29 April has had to be postponed. This is because the launch of the new Fund has been delayed, an announcement is now not expected until after the local elections on 7 May.
Deborah Williams of Historic England has commented:
'This Fund represents a significant change to how government support for Places of Worship is delivered. Inevitably developing a Fund such as this involves much discussion in order to ensure that we will deliver the best results for Places of Worship. In seeking to get this just right it has taken longer to confirm the details than we had hoped. Although we appreciate that the delay is disappointing, we hope that the resulting Fund will prove worth the wait.'
