Return of Parish Finance Dashboards (up to 2016) by Parish
These parish finance dashboards aim to offer a clear summary of reported parish finance information.
While this summary does not contain full financial details, the hope is that by displaying information clearly and conveniently this information can better inform the financial decisions that churches make. Parishes may wish to consider these finance dashboards alongside the Statistics for Mission dashboards.
These parish finance dashboards contain a summary of the Returns of Parish Finance as submitted by churches/parishes from 2007-2016. Missing or late returns may lead to gaps and (in the case of multiple church parishes) unusual-looking fluctuations.
As far as possible, the finance dashboard for each parish contains information submitted by churches that were in the parish in November 2017. Subsequent changes in parish structure will be included in the next annual update of these finance dashboards. Finance dashboard file names contain the deanery name, parish code, and parish name.
The information contained in the parish finance dashboards and parish statistics for mission dashboards is available to registered users of the online parish returns system (https://parishreturns.churchofengland.org/), the electronic system used by the majority of churches to submit their data; the online versions of these charts will be automatically updated when new data are entered.
The Church of England Research and Statistics team are keen to correct erroneous figures wherever possible. If you believe that incorrect information has been submitted on behalf of your parish, please get in touch via email or see the guidance here: https://www.churchofengland.org/more/policy-and-thinking/research-and-statistics/correcting-your-data.
Some errors will be easy to fix; in other cases, further information may be required and you may be asked to complete the relevant sections of a Return of Parish Finance. Any corrections will be incorporated into the next annual update of these dashboards.
The bulk of the work in creating these dashboards has been done by the churches who report the information and the dioceses who encourage this reporting. It is then the hard work from colleagues in the Church of England Research and Statistics team who then produce these dashboards that the Diocese of Ely then chooses to share through it’s website.

If your parish is not visible, it might mean that it has failed to submit any information, or there is an issue that needs to be resolved. In either case, please email email@example.com who will be able to investigate the matter.
