The Bishop of Ely is pleased to announce that the Revd James Shakespeare, Vicar of Cherry Hinton St John the Evangelist, Cambridge, was commissioned on 16 June 2021, at the Diocesan Synod, to the role of the Bishop’s Spirituality Adviser for the Diocese, following the resignation of Canon Jane Keiller.
The role is voluntary, in the context of James’ position as Vicar of Cherry Hinton St John the Evangelist, Cambridge and the role of Assistant Diocesan Director of Ordinands.
The Bishop is grateful to James for accepting this additional role.
