On 30 November 2023, Andrew Read, Director of Education, Mission & Ministry, will be leaving the many and various roles he has accrued across 8 years of exemplary service to the Diocese.
This will enable Andrew to pursue various invitations that will continue his professional and church vocations at both local and national level. Andrew remains committed in his support of the mission of the diocese, Bishop Dagmar, and the new incoming Bishop. We wish him every success and as needs arise, look forward to working with him again in future.
Bishop Dagmar adds: “Both on behalf of the Diocese and personally I remain deeply grateful to Andrew for all he has generously given us.
We have benefitted from his focus on making a difference to the lives of our communities, especially children and young people.
Andrew’s leadership of the Diocesan Board of Education and his bringing together into much closer cooperation the work of Education and of Mission & Ministry have enriched us and I will miss his support as well as his thoughtful contributions to our strategic planning.
