The final resting place of Anna Maria – the elder daughter of Olaudah Equiano – has been rediscovered in the St Andrew’s Chesterton churchyard.
An article featured on the Church of England website for Black History Month explored further the long-celebrated connection of Olaudah Equiano to St Andrew's Soham and St Andrew's Chesterton. Both churches celebrate their links with the Vassa (Equiano) family, by hosting talks, dramatic theatre presentations, arts outreach projects and annual services.
