The annual Flower Festival in All Saints Church, Grafham and the Bioblitz in the churchyard were held over the weekend of 8-9 June. What a wonderful selection of Fairy Tales were displayed in the church. The imagination of our flower arrangers evoked memories of those much-loved stories of our childhood.
The Bioblitz in the churchyard went very well; lots of children came and enjoyed setting up hedgehog tunnels on Saturday. The children also took over the releasing of bank voles and wood mice from their traps early on Sunday morning. The plant team identified 95 species in the churchyard.
Music from our local band was played to us on both afternoons, while tea, coffee and cakes were served, giving the festival an extra dimension of joy. The Flower Festival and Bioblitz were brought to a close on Sunday afternoon with Songs of Praise. Here are some photographs of the occasion.
