Do you love music?  Enjoy a familiar classic, or something new and different?

It’s rare to be able to attend world-class concert musicians performing in an intimate setting, for free – or at all, in an area like ours.  Yet St Peter’s has become a venue attracting just such performers, as well as a wonderful platform for local musicians and groups, through the Saturday coffee-concert series.  These 11am concerts are free to come to, informal in style, and involve hot drinks and refreshments beforehand.  We try to have one every month, usually with a break in January and August.

Several brilliant and moving recitals have been given by concert pianist Natalia Williams-Wandoch, as well as different piano recitals by Andrew Tait and Lisa Lyu; professional violin duo Rosalyn Hart and Krassimira Jesliazkova-Jones played in November 2019, and other concerts have included the MJC piano trio, local chamber ensembles and brass groups.

During Lent 2019, members of the team choir collaborated with St Peter’s Organist James Trundle in an intensely beautiful, contemplative performance of ancient plainchants interspersed by organ extemporisations.  This year’s Lent concert on the 4th April is an enhanced return to that.

These events are a totally unique opportunity.  Why not pop along and see why people have been praising them so highly! – 11 am on a Saturday morning, free admission, refreshments provided – just check the church’s website for upcoming dates:* http://www.stpeterschurchmarch.co.uk/

Looking forward to seeing you there,
