Funding Updates from South Cambs District Council

Zero Carbon Communities Grant funding: Pre-launch Workshops

Zero Carbon Communities Grant funding of £2,000-£15,000 is available to voluntary and community sector groups, charities and parish councils. Supporting communities in South Cambridgeshire to take action on climate change. There may be some adjustments to the grant in the forthcoming round, so even if you are familiar with it or have applied before, we recommend you check for updates, and save the date for our pre-launch workshops.

SCDC Community Chest Grants – Funding Still Available

  • About: Maximum award is £2,000. Just over £30,000 is available to voluntary and community sector groups, charities and parish councils wishing to further improve quality of life in South Cambridgeshire. Note the biodiversity ring-fenced element of the fund has been fully allocated for this financial year, but new funds will be available from the beginning of April.
  • When: until 31 March 2026 and from April 2026.

Mick George Community Fund

Amey Community Fund

  • About: Refurbishment / improvement of community buildings, rooms, outdoor spaces typically £10,000- £50,000. Available to non-profit organisations within 10 miles of a registered landfill site in Cambridgeshire (excluding Peterborough).
  • When: 1 March, 1 June, 1 September, 1 December 2026.

National Lottery Awards – Make a difference to the environment

  • About: Funding  up to £20,000 available to voluntary, community, charity, non-profit groups, to connect with nature and make a positive difference to the environment, available across England.
  • When: Currently available/ongoing.
