What three things? - February 2026
What three things can you do in February to take your first steps (or more!) as a church on your eco journey?

- Love Your Yew Week – 9-15 February - The environmental charity Caring for God’s Acre, which focusses on biodiversity in burial grounds, is working in collaboration with the Ancient Yew Group on the second Love Your Yew Week. Find out more here.
- World Day of Social Justice - 20 February – a sustainable future means making sure our move toward low-carbon economies benefits everyone, especially the most vulnerable. “The gap between the poorest and the wealthiest around the world is wide and growing. ... We must do more to empower individuals through decent work, support people through social protection, and ensure the voices of the poor and marginalised are heard." Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. Find out more here.
- Energy Footprint Tool – THANK YOU to the 5% of churches which have already submitted their energy data! Others have started entering their data, but lots have yet to start entering energy use from 2025 - the data collected from the tool will help your church understand its carbon footprint and will mean you may be eligible for grants to help kickstart your net zero projects. This work is an essential part of caring for God’s Creation, by helping to combat global heating and climate change. Find out more here.
