What three things? - March 2026

What three things can you do in March to take your first steps (or more!) as a church on your eco journey?
- Global Recycling Day - Wednesday 18 March - Recycling is a brilliant way to help our planet fight climate change. It’s a key part of the circular economy, helping to protect the earth’s dwindling natural resources. That’s what Global Recycling Day is all about - a day for the world to come together and put the planet first.
- World Water Day - Sunday 22 March - this annual United Nations Observance has focused on the importance of fresh water every year since 1993, raising awareness of the 2.1 billion people living without access to safe water. It is about taking action to tackle the global water crisis and to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 6: water and sanitation for all by 2030.
- Earth Hour - Saturday 28 March at 8.30pm - this is a global moment for us to come together, switch off and show support for our world. From iconic landmarks like Big Ben and the Sydney Opera House, to other iconic landmarks in cities across the globe, lights go out in a powerful display of global solidarity for our natural world.
