Everyday Faith

What is Everyday Faith?

Everyday Faith (Setting God’s People Free) is an initiative across the Church of England which within Lever 1 of our strategy - Nurturing a confident people of God - is offering us a way of raising awareness of how the whole people of God can live the Good News of Jesus confidently in all of life Sunday to Saturday.

The report - Setting God’s People Free - (Archbishop’s Council 2017, General Synod report GS 2056) reminds us that the majority of people in the Church of England are lay people who spend most of their waking hours not engaged in Church-related activities.

Our challenge, therefore, is to support people in the parts of their lives which are spent being active Christians in a wide range of contexts - at work, in education, in the family, or in the community.

So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you; take your everyday, ordinary life – your sleeping, eating, going to work, and walking around life, and place it before God as an offering.
