Add a who's who page, embed videos, plus other new features and improvements.
There have been a number of recent improvements and updates, in response to editor feedback, to features on A Church Near You.
- There is now the option to create a ‘Who’s Who’ page on your church site, with an image, name and contact details for each person.
- You can add additional information in a new text box at the top of your services and events and news and notices pages.
- Tags for services and events now appear in alphabetical order - you can still search for tags too.
- Past & unpublished services and events have been reordered so the most recent services and events are now at the top of the page.
- Multiple breaks can now be added to a service or event.
- If you use Benefice sites function, you can now have a calendar tab on your services and events page, displaying services and events created at benefice level.
- If you have a separate church blog or website where you share news and stories, you can link to it by adding a Custom "News" URL that either replaces the News Stories section or the whole News and Notices page on your church site.
- You can now embed up to three videos to your News stories, About Us page and custom pages on both church and benefice sites.
- More text formatting options are now available, which include headings and lists.
- If your church has a newsletter, you can now add a signup button to your church homepage, directing people to where they can subscribe.
- You can now set multiple email addresses to receive messages from the public which are sent through the 'Get in touch' form on your church site, based on the subject of the email. This means that enquires can more easily be sent directly to different members of staff or volunteers depending on what they’re about.
