Kigali Sunday - 27th May

A Rwandan Commitment to prayer

Straight after General Synod Archbishop Justin was in Rwanda where he joined with Rwandan Bishops –including Bishop Louis of Kigali (Far right in the picture below) to commit in Gahini to praying for God’s Kingdom last year.

Gahini was on the itinerary of the Ely Team who visited 2 years ago. It is considered the birth place of the famous East African Revival. This drum, pictured, was the place where local Christians came to commit themselves to praying for God’s Spirit to move across their neighbourhood.

May 27th is Kigali Sunday in Ely Diocese

The materials for that Sunday include a video of Bishop Louis talking about how prayer is understood in Kigali.

That Sunday is also the occasion of the launch of the appeal for the Kigali Anglican Theological College where pastors and catechists in our link diocese go for further training.
