Norfolk Community Foundation has recently offered a grant to Welney St Mary's PCC to fund a playworker for the school summer holidays. This is the third year that this support has been provided.
Becca Dommett, Children and Families Missioner at All Saints' Huntingdon, has recently started a new toddler group, based on sensory, experience led play as a way to inhabit a bible story. Using tuff trays, sensory experiences and a bit of the EYFS curriculum, it is a safe and welcoming space to let the children explore and create relationships with the adult.
Volunteers in Meldreth and Melbourn have come up with a new and sustainable way to engage with children and families who only come occasionally to church, making it possible to run an impromptu session if any children walk through the door on a Sunday morning.
