We were sorry to hear of the death on 12th August 2024 of The Rt Rev’d Timothy Dudley-Smith and remember his daughter and son-in-law Sarah and Giles their family in our prayers.
The Acting Bishop of Ely is pleased to announce that The Revd Paul Anthony Kite, currently Priest in Charge, West Sheppey Benefice, in the Diocese of Canterbury is to be Priest in Charge of Wisbech St Peter and St Paul, Wisbech St Augustine and Walsoken, subject to satisfactory DBS check.
We are pleased to announce that the Revd Matthew James Creber-Davies, currently curate at the Cornerstone Team Benefice in the Leicester Diocese, is to be licensed as Team Vicar – Mission Enabler in the Benefice of Ely, subject to satisfactory DBS check.
The Revd Ceri Jane Payne, Assistant Curate, St Mary the Great with St Michael, Cambridge, will be licensed, on 20 October 2024, as Associate Vicar in the Benefice of St John the Evangelist, Cambridge (Self Supporting Minister). Ceri is finishing her current appointment on 8 September.
Further to the announcement of 9 May 2024 we are pleased to inform that The Revd Devin Shepard McLachlan will be instituted and inducted as Vicar of St Benedict Benefice, Cambridge on 13 September, 7pm.
