An update on the next Bishop of Ely

Very sadly, at the conclusion of a lengthy process of discernment, culminating in two days of interviews on 11 and 12 July, the Crown Nominations Commission considering the nomination of the next Bishop of Ely has not been able reach the level of consensus required to nominate a new Diocesan Bishop.

St Andrew's Church Soham celebrates restoration success with a medieval fair

Visitors can look forward to a historical extravaganza which includes fighting knights in the churchyard, have-a-go archery, medieval storytelling and puppet shows, circus skills and heritage craft demos, as well as representation for local history societies and over 35 craft stalls. The event is free to enter, and everyone is welcome.
